Hi I'm Gallagher. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and have been living in Portland again since 2008. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2012 after graduating from East West College of Healing Arts. My focus in practice is to help people live more comfortably and freely in their bodies. I love to help people with chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and the aches and pains of daily living. My training is in deep tissue, sports massage and myofascial techniques. I am further interested in cranial-sacral therapy, advanced myofascial and neurofascial release, and visceral manipulation. I am not a professional, but I have a twelve year background in dance and yoga. Breakdance, funk, and hip-hop are the styles I enjoy doing the most. Outside of this field my interests are in small-scale organic farming, permaculture, and soil and water conservation. These fields may not seem related to massage and bodywork, but to me the represent the "ground" from which our healing comes from. My personal knowledge of various dance and movement forms combined with the knowledge of massage and manual therapy, as well as a natural athleticism has made me a very effective therapist. I look forward to working with you!
